Venado Tuerto ha sido cuna de grandes artistas; y los chicos de Mofo’s Musiq vienen a dejar en claro que hay material para rato.

Mofo nace entre Venado Tuerto y Buenos Aires a fines de 2009, en principio integrado por Julián Sileone (bajo), Juan Chiavassa (batería) y León Peirone (guitarra, voz), formación a la que se sumara más tarde Emi Dimmer a cargo de los teclados. Nativos de una ciudad con tradición de músicos de gran trasendencia, cada uno está netamente influenciado por ése ambiente. En principio con un repertorio de covers esencialmente funk, más tarde sumado elementos de corrientes Soul, R&B, Hip Hop, pero siempre con un sonido muy marcado, muy singular.A lo largo de 2010 se desempeña tocando en vivo, tanto en una ciudad como la otra, teniendo muy buena aceptación por parte del público ya que propone un clima muy cálido para cualquier tipo de oyente.
Ya en 2011 la formación completa se traslada a Bs. As., y se radica conjuntamente en un espacio apto para desarrollar el potencial del grupo. En marzo del mismo año, entran a estudio Santito para registrar los temas que más tarde formarían parte del primer EP, homónimo, compuesto de cuatro covers y un corte de propia autoría: «I.F.C.». Durante los siguientes tres meses se abocan exclusivamente a mezclar y masterizar los 5 temas, y finalmente es editado de manera independiente, principalmente para difusión y como muestra de lo que Mofo puede hacer.
En mayo son invitados a tocar como opening band en el show que brindara el legendario Fred Wesley (trombonista de James Brown), quien hizo explícito el gusto por la banda en cierta entrevista para Clarín. El resto del año, el grupo da numerosos shows por Capital Federal, Rosario y Córdoba, consolidando el sonido en vivo, haciendo de cada actuación una verdadera fiesta.
El 2012 encuentra a Mofo en inmejorables condiciones. Con la mecánica grupal perfectamente ajustada, son convocados por Gonzalo Aloras (Fito Páez, Lito Nebbia, etc.) para tomar el lugar de backing band en su proyecto, lo cual abre el abanico de desafíos músicales, así como la oportunidad de tocar en numerosos escenarios de alto calibre (Boris Club de Jazz, Quilmes Rock en estadio River Plate, etc), y compartir actuaciones con músicos de la talla de Jota Morelli, Machi Rufino, Héctor Starc, entre otros.
Paralelamente, se integra a Santiago Parodi con su prodigiosa voz, como indiscutible frontman de la formación, dándole una presencia mucho más imponente y efectiva, y sumando un color más, que amplía los matices de la banda.
Actualmente la banda transita el proceso de composición, en el cual descubre su propia voz, claramente definida por el groove característico de sus partes y con sus influencias mezcladas de manera original, sumado a la llama creativa que surge en cada ensayo. Con objetivos claros, el grupo prepara un número de composiciones para entrar por segunda vez a estudio, ya más experimentados en cuanto al método y la realización, dispuestos a plasmar música fresca y vibrante, nacida plenamente del Alma.
