Nuestro compañero tomó nota de los microdiscursos que habitan en una cotidianidad efervescente. Subrayó los imperativos que obligan a poner el cuerpo, que gritan lo que una parte de la sociedad exige: víctimas. «Esos, que no se sacrifican, deben hacerlo o morir. El vago es el otro». ¿Cómo se conjugan esos enunciados con los cimientos de aquello que se denomina «la cultura del trabajo»? ¿Qué trabajo(s) le(s) dan entidad a esa cultura? Estas preguntas y otras se cruzan en un texto que problematiza sobre la visión del sacrificio como forma de vida.

La comunidad sacrificial que el macrismo va construyendo se enorgullece de dar a cambio de una supuesta grandeza por venir. Entrega así sus recursos, sus jubilaciones, sus horas de trabajo. Da algo que se supone individual a cambio de algo que se supone colectivo. Le piden que se esfuerce y se esfuerza. Habla de los precios, los gastos, las pérdidas como de latigazos inevitables.
Los sacrificiales logran, así, amarse a sí mismos. Pueden descansar de su condición de víctimas y de su condición de victimarios. Sacrificarse por el país, por el futuro, porque no vuelvan los que se suponen que volverán si no se sacrifican, adquiere el estatuto de un altruismo mayor. La Nación en almas. Pero ese sacrificio no basta con que sea autoerótico. No son flagelantes medievales, retirados y retraídos. Ese sacrificio tiene que desplegarse, tiene que expandirse, tiene que llegar a cada uno.
Allí es donde surgen los gritos de guerra «¡Vayan a laburar!» o «Agarren la pala». Más allá de que la herramienta en cuestión delata que la expectativa del laburo de esos otros es que sea manual e industrial (quizá la construcción, quizá cavar pozos, quizá jardinería, nunca programación de software, Dj o arquitecto), lo central es que la comunidad sacrificial exige víctimas. Esos, que no se sacrifican, deben hacerlo o morir. El vago es el otro.
«¡Vayan a laburar!» es el grito de guerra de la comunidad sacrificial que el macrismo busca potenciar y apropiarse. Esa comunidad tiene, hay que decirlo, un apuntalamiento poderoso en un discurso que precede por décadas al macrismo y al que se suele llamar «la cultura del trabajo», que más que un asunto económico-productivo es un modo de definir al proceso por el cual los seres humanos, en sociedades modernas, acceden a la ciudadanía, los derechos y las posibilidades por medio del despliegue de sus fuerzas y capacidades de producción económica de acuerdo al sistema en el que viven (el socialismo fue, también, un modelo apuntalado en la cultura del trabajo).
Esa cultura del trabajo, lo dicho, tiene muchos más años operando que el macrismo. Su novedad actual está quizá en que se presenta como lo que falta, y como un vehículo para un intenso y extenso uso horizontalizado de la acusación de vagancia (que es uno de los modos actuales de la vigilancia como control de todos sobre todos) y la estigmatización de quienes acceden a recursos sin, supuestamente, dar nada a cambio.
Pero de pronto el mecanismo se invierte. Los que mandan a laburar pasan buenas horas de sus vidas intentando dejar de hacerlo. Operaciones financieras, robos y timba son las estrategias de los sacrificiales. Un rentista, la cúspide del parasitismo, tiene más dignidad que alguien que se supone que no hace nada para generar dinero. Bingos y bitcoins, paraísos fiscales para las masas. «Vayan a laburar», entonces, no quiere decir, no exige, ‘exactamente’ que alguien que no lo hace, trabaje (es decir, que consiga a partir de sus acciones los medios para vivir), tampoco quiere decir que consiga sus propios recursos.
¿Alguien puede dudar de que un jubilado trabaja, en el sentido de gestionar los recursos para vivir? Más aún, la condición jubilada es una inmensa fábrica de trabajo: medicina, aseguradoras, laboratorios, transporte, segmentos publicitarios, circuitos turísticos. La población jubilada, además de haber trabajado, le da trabajo a miles de personas. Lo mismo podría decirse de otras figuras estigmatizadas por improductivas: los sectores sociales más postergados son la causa directa de la generación de dinero en economías informales, de estructuras policiales, de entretenimiento audiovisual, especulación inmobiliaria y financiera, de oneges, etc. (De paso, todo esto sirve para recordar al racismo que se aloja en la consideración social de lo que es trabajo y lo que no lo es, y esto independientemente de si genera dinero o no).
«Vayan a laburar» quiere decir que los que se supone que no sufren tienen que sufrir como la comunidad sacrificial asume que sufre. De ahí a justificar un recorte jubilatorio hay un paso. Ese paso se facilita enormemente cuando los que creen que dan algo a cambio de nada desprecian a los que creen que reciben algo a cambio de nada. Porque ya no se trata de trabajo sino de lo que produce dinero y sufrimiento y del modo en que se experimentan los intercambios sociales.
